Following the missions carried out in the past few months to Israel and Palestine, the EPP Group continues to show its commitment in the Mediterranean region in order to strengthen the presence and role of the EU. With this aim a Delegation of MEPs of the EPP Group in the European Parliament is carring a mission to Lebanon and Syria in order to meet with the highest political level representatives of both countries. The EPP Group Delegation is being led by Vito Bonsignore MEP, Vice-Chairman of the EPP Group responsible for Euro-Mediterranean policy, Ioannis Kasoulides MEP, Vice-Chairman of the EPP Group responsible for Foreign Affairs and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Tokia Saïfi MEP, Chairwoman of the Political Commission of the Euro-MediterraneanAssembly and former Secretary of State of the French Government, Rodi Kratsa-Tsagaropoulou MEP, Vice-President of the European Parliament, and Mário David MEP, Chairman of the Delegation for relations with Mashreq countries.
