POLICY
The EU policies covered by the Industry, Research and Energy Committee (ITRE) of the European Parliament stretch over four main areas. Those are: the Union's industrial policy, including new technologies relating to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs); research policy; energy policy and finally the information society and information technology. In addition the committee is responsible topics related to nuclear safety and space policy.
